Silver bromate is useful oxidant for the transformation of tetrahydropyranyl ethers to carbonyl compounds.1
Purification Methods
It crystallises from hot water (80mL/g). It reacts with bromine water to form bromic acid (HBrO3) which is a strong oxidising agent. Store it in the dark.
